Call Center Representative

Leaco Rural Telephone is seeking qualified applicants for Call Center Representative.  The Call Center Rep is responsible for the high-level network outage identification and support, scheduling coordination for trouble ticket requests as well as new installs.  The Call center Rep also provides telephone technical support for internet customers, and provides support and assistance in the resolution of routine customer questions/problems with company products/services, and some maintenance of service order/trouble tickets.   

I. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. Position requires a High School diploma or equivalent.  Knowledge and skills          usually acquired through one to two years of commercial office experience, general accounting, and customer relations required.
  2. Any computer experience and/or education a plus.

II. CORE COMPETENCIES

  1. Proficient knowledge of computer systems, so as to be able to input data, create and/or edit translations, interface and troubleshoot various platforms with an understanding of basic logic program flow.
  2. Knowledge of wireless telephony, wireless interfaces, telephone networking, circuits, ISP support, etc…
  3. Excellent oral and written communications skills and understanding of technical processes
  4. The ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time
  5. The ability to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines or respond to emergencies
  6.  Differentiate between colors
  7. Operate general office equipment (i.e., fax machine, photocopier, computer, and printer)
  8. The ability to quickly and accurately access and enter information using an automated system.
  9. The ability to provide on-call services upon short notice
